Step 1

Preparation and Travel

Step 2

Day One: Arrival

At Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will meet our staff and transferred to Moshi for Kilimanjaro trekking and Arusha Mt. Meru trekking. You'll receive a detailed and friendly briefing about your trek, giving you an ideal opportunity to pick up any essential gear you may have missed. Additionally, your guide will share valuable other info for the trek ahead

Step 3

The Trek Begins

You will need to complete mandatory registration and clearance at the entry gate, and once you have finalized the activity, you can begin your mountain trekking adventure. Depending on the route chosen, the trekking trail starts amidst lush greenery and stunning vistas, and if you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of some wildlife along the way. Enjoy your trek!

Daily Trekking Schedule

Day 1: Arrival in Moshi/Arusha

  • Activity: Arrive in Moshi/Arusha, meet your trekking team, and finalize gear.
  • Accommodation: Overnight stay in Moshi/Arusha.

Day 2: Moshi/Arusha to Big Tree Camp (Mti Mkubwa)

Starting Point:

  • Drive to Londorossi Gate (2,100m) for registration.

Trekking Details:

  • 3-4 hours trek through the rainforest to Big Tree Camp (2,650m).

Highlights:

  • Dense vegetation and possible sightings of wildlife like Colobus monkeys.

Accommodation:

  • Big Tree Camp (Mti Mkubwa).

Day 3: Big Tree Camp to Shira 1 Camp

Trekking Details:

  • 6-7 hours trek through heather and moorland to Shira 1 Camp (3,610m).

Accommodation:

  • Shira 1 Camp.

Day 4: Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp

Day 5: Shira 2 Camp to Barranco Camp

Day 6: Barranco Camp to Karanga Camp

Day 7: Karanga Camp to Barafu Camp

Descent:
