Step 1

Preparation and Travel

Conduct documentary reviews on Kilimanjaro Mountain and trekking experiences. Prepare essential documents, clothing, gear, medications, and a zoom-lens camera. Ensure necessary vaccinations are obtained. Follow packing lists provided by your travel agent to be thoroughly equipped for the adventure. Stay informed and well-prepared throughout!

Day One: Arrival

At Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will meet our staff and transferred to Moshi for Kilimanjaro trekking and Arusha Mt. Meru trekking. You'll receive a detailed and friendly briefing about your trek, giving you an ideal opportunity to pick up any essential gear you may have missed. Additionally, your guide will share valuable other info for the trek ahead

Step 3

The Trek Begins

You will need to complete mandatory registration and clearance at the entry gate, and once you have finalized the activity, you can begin your mountain trekking adventure. Depending on the route chosen, the trekking trail starts amidst lush greenery and stunning vistas, and if you are lucky, you might catch a glimpse of some wildlife along the way. Enjoy your trek!

Day 1: Arrival in Moshi – Trekking Briefing

Arrive in Moshi, Tanzania, and settle into your hotel. Meet guides for a trek briefing, gear check, and preparation for the journey ahead.

Day 2: Londorossi Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp – Rainforest Trek

Drive to Londorossi Gate (2,100 m / 6,890 ft) and begin trekking through lush rainforest trails. The gradual ascent leads to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,820 m / 9,252 ft).
Accommodation: Tented camp
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner

Day 3: Mti Mkubwa Camp to Shira 1 Camp – Moorland Transition

Continue trekking through forested terrain before reaching the Shira Plateau and settling at Shira 1 Camp (3,610 m / 11,843 ft).

Day 4: Shira 1 Camp to Shira 2 Camp – Acclimatization Day

A short trek across the plateau leads to Shira 2 Camp (3,850 m / 12,631 ft), allowing for better acclimatization.

Day 5: Shira 2 Camp to Moir Hut – Remote Northern Circuit

Trek toward Moir Hut (4,200 m / 13,780 ft), a secluded camp offering stunning views.

Day 6: Moir Hut to Buffalo Camp – High-Altitude Trek

Traverse the Northern Circuit, passing through alpine desert landscapes before reaching Buffalo Camp (4,020 m / 13,189 ft).

Day 7: Buffalo Camp to School Hut – Summit Preparation

Continue trekking to School Hut (4,750 m / 15,584 ft), the final stop before summit night.

Day 8: Summit Day – Uhuru Peak & Descent to Mweka Camp

Begin the midnight ascent to Uhuru Peak (5,895 m / 19,341 ft)! After celebrating at the summit, descend to Mweka Camp (3,100 m / 10,170 ft).

Day 9: Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate – Return to Moshi

Descend through the rainforest to Mweka Gate (1,600 m / 5,380 ft), collect summit certificates, and transfer back to Moshi for celebration.
